About Amarine

Built in a haulage yard, not a software office.

Amarine started as the system a working UK haulage company built for itself, because nothing on the market did the job the way the job is actually done.

It started with the paperwork

Running lorries under an operator's licence means proving, every day, that everything is in order: walkaround checks, inspections every few weeks, brake tests, MOTs, tachograph calibrations, drivers' licences and cards, their training, their hours, the defects and what was done about them. Miss one and it is the licence on the line.

For years that lived where it lives for most operators: in spreadsheets, paper sheets in a lever-arch file, forms on a phone, emails from the garage and reminders in somebody's head. It worked, until the day it had to be found in a hurry.

So we built our own

Amarine was built inside our own company and used on our own fleet from the first day. Every screen was tried by the people who would have to use it: the office on a Monday morning, the driver at six o'clock beside the lorry, the mechanic in the bay with oil on their hands. When something took too long, it was changed. When a driver could not find a button, the button moved.

The driver app speaks English and Romanian, and any other language a company's drivers need, on request, because a walkaround only helps if the driver understands every line of it. The inspection sheet looks like the paper one the garage already knows. The repair sheet takes half a minute.

What we would not compromise on

  • The record is the record. Nothing is deleted. A mistake is voided with a reason, and stays on file.
  • A person decides. The AI assistant reads, explains and suggests. It never books, sends or changes anything on its own.
  • Numbers are not guessed. What is overdue, what is owed, how high a bridge is: worked out from the records, every time.
  • Each company sees only its own. A garage sees the vehicles it was given, and nothing else.
  • Your data stays in the UK. The platform runs in a London data centre.

Now it is open to other operators

What began as our own system now runs companies, drivers and garages that are not ours. One transport manager can look after several companies from a single sign-in; a garage can keep all its customers in one place; a driver keeps their documents when they move on.

If you run lorries and recognise the lever-arch file, we built this for you.
